winter has its blessings
Winter has often brought me joy and comfort, the pinnacle of all things cozy and festive. This year being no exception, and likely one of most memorable. The continual blanket of snow over Pennsylvania has been a blast, but there is more to it than this phenomenon alone. Having recently moved, finding friends was something of a challenge and took patients. But, what a better way to acquire friends than working at a coffee shop! And so it is here I found my people through conversations about flower farms, favorite hiking spots, local thrift shops, and love for food. And it has been with these dear friends I have learned to enjoy this new beginning in the midst of winter, meeting once every two weeks to share dinner and dessert. Because of this simple decision I've found myself in the loveliest of places; snowy campfires, sleigh rides, and cozy couches to name a few.
The changing of seasons can be hard and being dead center of one can be too, but embracing the good and fun of it all completely worth it. You never know what might happen, even in the middle of winter.
