adventure is out there

June is here and I can hardly believe it. Boy, am I glad it is though. Only a week in and already having the time of my life. Living in the moment truly is the best way to experience and see the world. There is so much beauty and wonder and fun and adventure.

The month started of with quick trip to shore. It was a much needed pause and reset before the new season. With a quick dip in Gods pool (wow, was it chilly!), a stroll along the board walk, my first ever go at mini golf, and a sunset ferris wheel ride you can bet the weekend will be within my happy memories for a long time.

Adding to the fun was a spontaneous kayaking trip in the middle of a sunny, ninety degree day - what could be more fun! I was convinced I was going to end the day red and crispy, but thankfully my trusty sunscreen for sensitive skin did its job, and all I've got is a soar and tired body, so I'll take it. It is amazing how much more fun there is to be had when I put my phone away and live in the moment. If I tried to capture every beautiful and precious moment from yesterday, I believe I would have missed them. I got to paddle alongside ducklings and turtles and even a snake (that one kinda scared me a little). Blue herons and sparrows flew above while the deer stood at the river bank. It's as if these are the moments we imagine a fairy tale to feel like.
